Learn how a solar PV (electric) installation, can be on your roof and save you money now by making electricity. Please bring your electric/gas bill or at least your electric account number, a calculator, the footprint and size of the roof. We will look at one or more participants' roofs and utility usage, then create a sample installation, with costs, savings, subsidies, and cash flow analysis. You will see rooftop installations in action. If your building has good solar radiance, sign up for an evaluation and installation. Efficiency, conservation, the environment and new developments in energy will be reviewed. Now there are up to 80% in subsidies off the gross cost of solar electric for residential-
and 95% off the cost for commercial installs.

Make A Solar Electric Module/Panel
The group assembles one 60 watt 12 volt DC (nominal), 3.5 amp, solar module, working with solar cells, solder,"ribbon" wire, tempered glass, silicon encapsulant and silicon sealer. (The workshop continues through lunch, tea, water, snacks provided, so please bring lunch or you can order out.)

Solar Hot Water For All Rooftops

Learn how to evaluate a building's roof or south facing wall (your's especially) for a solar hot water installation, please bring the building's gas bills for a year ($ and therms), account number, a calculator, the footprint and size of the roof. We will look at several participants' rooftops and utility usage, then create a sample installation, with costs including subsidies, energy created, and cash flow analysis. There will be slides of rooftop installations. Installers will be invited. Conservation and efficiency will be discussed.
Fee $35/one, $60/two, $84/three, $92/four people
